|Erudite Exchange Summer Meeting: Sunday, July 20th
||[Jul. 12th, 2008|02:45 pm]
The Milwaukee Area Nanoers
Hello all. Apologies for my abscence as a number of life situations kept me away from my internet duties. Thanks to Zhie though, for keeping things afloat.
It looks like we finally have a meeting date for what may be the last summer meeting that everyone can attend this year. Jake has to work but he will be joining us in the late afternoon evening. Epros will hopefully be joining us as well, everybody keep your fingers crossed that her boss lets her off! Everybody else will definitely be there! Where, exactly? Well that hasn't been decided yet, so let me know if you have any suggestions.
--let's all bring our schedules so that we can see if it's possible to hold one more meeting before Annie and Epros leave, and so that those of us staying behind can figure out a few post-summer, pre-nano dates.
--have contact info or business cards so that we can do another phone/e-mail exchange.
--to begin preparations for the summer, let's each bring some writing. Say one page or 500 words or so, either a short short or a fairly stand-alone bit from something longers. Please consider that it'll be for reading aloud or passing out, and if we're in a public place it may not be appropriate to read certain violent or sexually themed work. Otherwise, anything goes.
--I haven't spoken to Zhie about this lately, but I believe she was going to come up with some prompts for us to work on, so plan on bringing your writing instruments of choice.
Hope everybody is having a great summer, and I'll see you on the 20th!
